CCleaner 7 no longer includes System Restore

Hi,

I’ve updated to CCleaner 7, but the “Tools” menu is missing, and “System Restore” isn’t there either.

Where is this menu? I used to view system restore points through CCleaner because it’s much easier and more intuitive than using the Windows menus.

It used to show the date, time, and description, and you could delete any restore point you wanted.

Best regards, and thank you.

Same here… And it seems winapp2.ini can no longer be used… The new version is a ****.

Hi @TCR7 & @mikolajek,
At this time, CCleaner 7 does not have these tools available.
If you would like to see these added to CCleaner 7 in the future, please add them to the Ideas Portal in the Left menu of CCleaner 7.

It looks like this was one more of the “Upgrade - Downgrade” situations.
Why some of the features that the CCleaner users liked where removed?
We would like to see them added to version 7, but we should not be asking for them.
I’ll try to revert back to version 6 and wait and see if Version 7 will be really ‘Upgraded’ from version 6.

Hello.

Yes, I already added it to the “Ideas Portal,” but my idea isn’t showing up there.

Best regards and thank you.

Well, removing the Tools menu with all its options is certainly no progress. After discovering the deletion, I immediately reverted to the last unstripped version of ccleaner. And unless the tools are restored in some form, I certainly will not renew my subscription.

@diurik most of the items listed in the Tools menu in CCleaner 6 are available elsewhere in CCleaner 7. May I ask if there is a specific tool you are missing?

Yes i am misssssssing that function also, it would also be good to add a create backup function to the program

Thanks for response. Cannot find:

Startup, Duplicate finder, Uninstall, System Restore, Software Updater – these were tools I used. Please let me know their new location, if there is such. Thanks.

Looks like nothing ,not even the UI, improved in the butchered new release :frowning:

I am paying for this, never imagined I had to pay so I could downgrade back to 639 after an upgrade.

@diurik, I have listed below where you can find the in your previous post.
Startup, Uninstall and is now under similarly labled featurees in the left menu in CCleaner 7.
Duplicate finder is under Disk Analyzer on the left of CCleaner.
System Restore is currently not available in in CClenaer 7 if you’d like to see this feature added to CCleaner 7 in the future, please submit your suggestion via the Ideas Portal, located in the left-hand menu of the application. This helps us gauge interest and prioritize enhancements based on user feedback.

I downgraded because I couldn’t find the System Restore option any longer :frowning: Please re-add it in v7 :folded_hands:

I rolled back because the options - advance feature was missing. I wanted to see all the features we are used to in the new release but that did not happen. I did find the options-settings in version 7. Let’s hope we eventually get our user friendly interface back and awesome features re-added as well.

I also want the restore list feature add to the new program……
