CCleaner 7 - Health Check still says it's busy after trying every potential workaround

LOL, Nergal has pointed out that we have found this CCleaner 7 ‘Icarus’ before and identified what it is.

It is almost certainly a False Positive, what Antivirus are you using? “Icarus.exe” can refer to both a legitimate Avast/AVG process and a separate, malicious “Icarus Stealer” malware. In this case what your AV is seeing is probably a variant of the Avast/AVG process, which is used for updates. Remember that Avast, AVG, and CCleaner are all part of the same group of companies. If you want reassurance then download Malwarbytes free edition and do a scan with that for a second opinion.

(There’s been a lot to try and remember since CCleaner 7 became the ‘official’ version, and TBH I haven’t really tried to remember it all because it may well change again).
