CCleaner 7 deletes all firefox bookmarks! How do I get them back and how can I get CCleaner to omit deletion?
In addition, CCleaner says it is busy after one check. I can’t run CCeaner a secons time unless I reboot Windows!

Same, it even deleted the backups, so I cannot even roll back! I had thousands of bookmarks! I only had download history, cookies and internet cache marked! How did it touch my bookmarks?? It never did before!
Someone tell me I can do a rollback on this, please! I’m close to a panic attack.
You can go back to 6.39 by following the steps here (click on link which says ‘how to roll back from v7 to v6.39’)
has anyone tested this with the recent update 7.10.1042.0? To be honest, I’m afraid to test it.
make a backup of your firefox profile folder (right click copy. paste to desktop/documents/wherever-you-please ) run CCleaner’s firefox clean (with bookmark backup not marked) see if borked . if so delete or overwrite the profile folder with the copied folder.
I’d test but they removed custom location for browsers and mine is in a non default location (portable).

seems to work properly now!
Just downloaded CCsetup639.exe ran it on my Win 11 machine, then guess what it straitaway reinstalled CCleaner 7!!! Is this a Christmas joke or what??? Can’t you guys be professionals for once?
Follow ALL of the instructions in the “How to roll back…” thread.
They are given for a reason - If you don’t do them all then your new install of v6.38 will update to CCleaner7 again.
