This beta release (#7) is real clean - too clean. I can’t find the settings that I used often: start-up with Windows; clean automatically on schedule; registry cleaner. Where can I find these settings?
I have found these up to now,
How to install the Beta: CCleaner Support Community
Configure settings in the Beta: CCleaner Support Community
Using Performance Optimiser in the beta: CCleaner Support Community
Using Software Updater in the Beta: CCleaner Support Community
Using Driver Updater in the Beta: CCleaner Support Community

I just re-read the email. It will be fully released in phases and the features I’m looking for will be released last! LOL But it is a pre-release version right now. Thanks for the help though. I tried searching the forum but got nothing…used the wrong search term.
Yea, I was also curious about the registry cleaner option. Odd to see it totally not available. Hope to your point, it’s in a later release. I am running both regular and beta and I am never against change and can be so annoyed with those that are. However, I truly love the original format and just don’t see at this time the reasons for many of the changes in look, design and process. We shall see…been a cleaner guy for many years. ![]()
We are now getting some information about the v7 Beta from the staff.
Whilst not wishing to steal their thunder, we can share a link to the new CCleaner7Beta webpage which has more information on Phases 1 and 2 and advises running v6 and v7 side-by-side :
I have used CCleaner for several years and foresee using it many years to come. It is my most used go-to app! I, too, am running both versions right now. But I most certainly prefer the “set-it-and-forget-it” version. I am thankful for the devs that do the legwork because this program keeps my laptop clean and sharp. ![]()
Until the beta imports settings from the release version - especially exclusions – is not worthy of being tested.
I have tested many different programs over the years, and while this “beta” version of Ccleaner is not terrible, it certainly is “not” finished enough to be called a “beta” version. It should be termed an “alpha” version at best. Just wondering if the “programmers” who developed version 7 have any real experience in beta testing of any programs?
Where is Smart Clean
While I’m not terribly a fan of the New Interface, it’s a bit less intuitive than the previous version. Also, as I had auto-update on…there wasn’t an option to not install it. But here’s my biggest beef, and why I won’t be upgrading:
The removal of the “Shutdown after Custom Clean”. It was very helpful when I came to the end of my day, as all I had to do was run a Custom Clean and simply walk away from the computer. And why I know many people had problems with this; I wasn’t ever one of those. Please give us this back.
v7 has now been “officially” released as the Full version.
(Although many users believe it isn’t ready for that).
So I’ll close this topic in ‘Beta releases’.
