CCleaner 6.21: Manage My License

Hi everyone,

I'd just like to let you know that in CCleaner 6.21, released yesterday, we have updated license handling for our customers.

You can download the latest version of CCleaner from our website.

You can now navigate to Options->License Key to see the 'Manage my license' screen, where you'll find a 'Manage Subscription' button. Clicking on it will open your default browser and take you to a page on ccleaner.com where you'll be asked to enter your email address and Cleverbridge reference number. When you do that you'll be taken to an Account Overview screen where you can cancel your subscription or update your chosen payment method.

We hope this will address a few queries that have been raised on the forum.

Thanks!

Tom

This does not work. I have tried on multiple browsers. I enter email and reference and page resets. I have cancelled my Paypal auto payment so I can have some control over the subscription, especially seeing as the renewal price I have been invoiced for Pro is more than the cost of buying Pro plus as a new licence.
*Update - I got it to work. Was able to find my purchase email with reference #. Must use ref # of original purchase email not ref # of renewal notice email.

Hi TomK
Why doesn’t the support service answer me? I can’t access my ccleaner profile to deactivate the automatic renewal. I followed the procedures but I can’t find the Cleverbridge reference because I wasn’t sent the purchase confirmation email. I’ve been asking many times for help to the support email for weeks without receiving any response, I also wrote to the messaging on instagram. What kind of support service is this?

Me too, has been days since I opt in the trial period but until now I don’t get any purchase confirmation email nor support email being responded.

Hi @ClaudioB,
Our support team have informed me that they are not able to find any support requests from the email address associated with your forum account.
Please could you direct message me the email address you used to contact the support team so I can invsetiget this furer for you.

Hi @surveyedccl,
I have been told by our support team they have prioritised the support request you sent to us, and you should receive a response shortly.

Hi Laurence, I replied to your email but apparently you didn’t read it. I’ll reply here too: my ccleaner registration email is … thanks

@ClaudioB
I have removed your email address from your post above on this public forum to stop you getting spammed.

@Laurence_CCleaner

Good morning hazelmut and good morning Laurence. I replied to both of you by email, why doesn’t anyone answer me anymore? Why doesn’t the support service answer me? I didn’t ask for the moon but simply how to access my settings in the absence of the cleverbridge reference, or, alternatively, that the support remove the automatic renewal because it is my right.
@Laurence_CCleaner

I need help too. I subscribed to trial and used my credit card. However, the email and other details were not mine. They were from auto-fill, but this was cleared out now. So I can’t track down the reference and what email was used. I need to be able to control my subscription.

Seriously? And you didn’t check/double-check what you were doing before giving over your credit card details to purchase something?

I’d suggest that the best, and by far the quickest, thing that you can do now is talk to your Credit Card issuer.
Explain what you have done and ask them to cancel the credit card so that the subscription can’t be taken to auto renew the licence.
You will probably need to get a new card issued.

Then, when the CCleaner trial licence runs out and can’t be renewed, purchase a brand new subscription/licence using your correct details (or don’t purchase your choice).

PS. You may even find out who’s details were in the auto-fill, they will be emailed reminders when the subscriotion can’t be renewed because the card has been cancelled.
(We may even see them here on the forum, asking why they are being emailed to renew something that they never bought in the first place).

April 21, 2025 and this is STILL broken.
I renewed my annual subscription to Pro on April 11. I followed the Manage Subscription button in the app, which took me to the Manage my subscription webpage. Entering my Email address and the Cleverbridge reference number from my April 11 email results in:
“Oops. We’re not able to find your license details right now. Please contact support for more information (and show them this message so they can help)” This result is consistent across browsers and sessions.

The contact support part of the message is a link to the form support.ccleaner.???/s/contact-form Which results in “Something went wrong. Form is not available in your Language!” This is the message you get for EVERY language.

The not working ‘Manage Subscription’ appears to be by design these days.
It has not worked properly since they changed the licencing system and despite what @TomK_CCleaner said last year it obviously still isn’t working for most.
We are told that it can work in a few cases but not in all cases, and so everyone else has to contact support like in the old days.

Then there’s that support form language issue.
If you try to change the language then a cookie gets set and all you get from then on is the error message whatever language you select.
We have reported it, but nobody seems bothered about putting it right.

Your need to close the browser and clear the cookies, then re-open the browser and the form.
Don’t try and change the language that the form is in, but if you want to type in using a different language I don’t see anything to prevent that.
However I have no idea how support would deal with a form that is not in English, they might translate it or they might reject it?

Did you manage to cancel your subscription?
