Just a notification-
I'm getting an intermittent fault with CCleaner Free v5.30.6065 (64-bit) on Windows 10 1703 build 15063.332.
Both CCleaner and Windows had updates at about the same time so I'm not sure which one is the culprit.
(CCleaner updated on 24/05, Windows on 27/05)
Sorry I can't fully recall if the fault happened between the 2 or not (I think it did).
Occasionally when launching CCleaner it will hang with the 'Analyze' & 'Run Cleaner' buttons greyed out, and nothing showing in the Windows tab.
Closing the GUI using the red 'X' causes the Windows standard 'Not Responding' error dialogue, followed by the 'Checking for a Solution' box.
(Its quicker just to terminate it in Task Manager).
Launch CCleaner again straight afterwards and it runs normally.
As I say it's intermittent so it's hard to troubleshoot just what is causing it.
I'll try running CCleaner in debug mode for a while to see if I can catch any more information.
What shows at the time of the error under Applications in the Windows Event Viewer?
Here's the event log from the last time it happened.

Like I say it's not a big problem for me, I was just giving a heads up.
I managed to catch the hang in debug mode, unfortunately the log is not very instructive.

PS- It seems a bit daft that you have to change the name because the forum uploader will not allow a file with a ".log" extension to be attached to a post?
You can just zip the log to attach it.
..and thanks for the log ![:)]()
This intermittent 'hang' is still happening with v5.32.6129 (64-bit).
Caught it again today with debug mode, to see if it would sort itself I left it for 10+ mins before aborting.
The debug log shows again that it’s hung on the update timer, at 16:12:31, I aborted at about 16:24

I also captured a screenshot this time for what it's worth.

It's hung again today.
Left it running for over an hour to see if it would get to the update, nothing doing.
The log is identical to yesterdays except for the date.

Everything else was accessing the internet without problem during this hour, so it’s CCleaner itself and not a WiFi/router/broadband issue.
I have pointed admin to your logs nukecad.
Cheers Hazel,
With it being an intermittent fault I expect it will be a bugger to track down, they always are.
Like i say it doesn't bother me too much, but some are less laid back.
I have an identical situation. I'm running Windows 10 pro (x64) 1703 build 15063.483 and 5.32.6129(x64) It is exactly as nukecad describes. Very intermittent and not very bothersome as it is resolved by forcing it closed and reopening. ccleaner hang event viewer.txt
I see that the release notes for 5.33 say-
“Improved CCleaner launch sequence to resolve a UI lock”
Hopefully that will be the cure this intermittent problem.
