If Chrome was recently updated perhaps that's the reason why, and if so Piriform may need to update CCleaner to improve the Chrome cleaning.
You aren't the only one with the issue, someone else has the same issue here.
is there any chance to see this getting fixed in one of the future ccleaner versions?
Eventually they'll make it clean again I mean how many times have we seen in the change log where it states "improved cleaning of ....", they're always playing catch up.
