CC7 Not cleaning... my subscription is up in 2 weeks will be shopping for a new product

Apparently, version 7 has issues. It won’t clean on custom clean. Error messages like crazy. I downloaded the previous version and got it to work. My subscription is up in a couple weeks and I doubt the issues will be fixed by then so I will be shopping for a new cleaner program. This product was great for years, but something has gone wrong and apparently it has been like this for months.

All the error messages mean is one or more files weren’t removed due to being locked by another program. They do not mean the whole section wasn’t cleaned.

I do agree it’s confusing and have asked the “ideas portal” to add differentiations between which files are removed and aren’t, in details.

Yes, that’s the message. It’s a little worrisome when it’s not cleaning browser files especially after I just got done doing financial transactions. The previous version did not do this, and I’m careful to close everything. I’m switching because it’s inexcusable as I don’t know what’s cleaned and not cleaned and there’s no way to fix it.

Actually the old version did the same thing - it just didn’t tell you that it couldn’t clean everything this time round because they were open, so had skipped a few that were still open.
(well it used to tell you in the very distant past, but the devs stopped it telling you because of all the questions like this one).

The ones that it has to skip this time will be cleaned next time (they should be closed by then).
