CC7 and Startup Apps

I’m running into a persistent issue with the Startup Manager in CCleaner 7 (and now 7.2). When I click Startup Manager → Manage Apps, the page loads but no startup items appear at all — not Windows startup entries, not browser extensions, not scheduled tasks, nothing.

Expected behavior:
Clicking Manage Apps should display the full list of startup apps, browser plugins, scheduled tasks, and other items that CCleaner has always shown in previous versions.

Actual behavior:
The Manage Apps screen is completely empty.

What I’ve already tried:

  • Fully uninstalled CCleaner

  • Removed leftover registry keys

  • Deleted all CCleaner folders and stray files

  • Downloaded a fresh installer

  • Installed as Administrator

  • Followed all suggested steps from forum threads

  • Tried to locate the old “Report Problems” button from CCleaner 6, but it’s gone in 7.x

Piriform has acknowledged this issue and stated that version 7.2 was supposed to fix it, but the problem is still present on my end.

Just posting this for visibility and to see if others are still experiencing the same behavior, or if there are any new official updates on when this will be resolved.

I have totally the same problem - not amusing.

Do what most people are doing, revert back to 6.xx until your subscription runs out and in the meantime start to identify a replacement for CCleaner.

I shall been sad to move away from CCleaner as I have had it for such a long time however the latest downgrade has broken my trust in the product.

My “Manage Apps” doesn’t do anything at all. I sent a log to CCleaner and a Fiddler trace so maybe they will be able to figure out what is wrong.

I have the same problem. How do I revert back to a version 6?
