I tried several times to update a few drivers on Windows 11 (which has fubar’d my laptop- hate it) using CCleaner. The program just stalled. CCleaner will scan all drivers, show me what needs to be updated, but will not update any of them. The other features (health scan, custom clean, software scan) all seem to work properly. Anyone else having this issue? Is this being worked on by Gen? I’m guessing Windows 11 is blocking CC somehow.
Do you have CCleaner Pro?
The free version will scan for new drivers, but will not actually do any updates.
PS. You are aware that updating drivers without being careful and first checking that the ‘new’ driver is actually compatible with your machine can cause problems?
Driver Updaters just offer any ‘new’ driver version, they don’t check if it is suitable for your machine or not.
We have many posts here from people who have done just that, updated to a new driver that CCleaner offered and the new driver ‘broke’ something on their machine.
Thank you for replying. Yes, I am using CC Pro. I am careful with driver updates. I was having an issue with Windows 11 not installing or updating Nvidia audio drivers but I finally got them installed. But Windows 11 is reeking havoc on my laptop. I can no longer use my HP printer - it will not install the drivers. I can install the printer software, it can ‘see’ the printer, print a test page, but the status is ‘idle’. I cannot make any administrator changes to it, cannot make it the default printer, even manually adding the print does not work. Awful upgrade experience with Win 11. But I love CC Pro and has always done the job. I think Win 11 does not appreciate drivers from outside sources. Again, thank you for helping me. I, too, am beer powered - only nuclear with Mexican food. LOL (let me stop

Sounds like you need help with more than just CCleaner.
I’m aware that Nvidia can be a problem with Win11, as can ARM CPU’s, certain makes of computer also seem to have more proplems with it.
(I’ve never had any big issues with Win 11, apart from being slow on a 15 year old machine with unsupported hardware which wasn’t a surprise).
You may want to ask for help on a more general computer help forum, I suggest BleepingComputer forum.
