I finally looked at that thread and it's like I thought and knew from experience that butting into another site/forum to correct someone is usually a waste of time - unless of course the software developer/company which is the supreme authority for such conflicts replies directly to such uninformed discussion to squash it.
i get bored
still havent got an answer though and i doubt i ever will.
CCleaner causes a lot of issues and can be very problematic on computers. Every time they claim to have fixed something it breaks numerous other things. There are a lot of on their forums who act like they know things about whats wrong when they spout total nonsense. TonyKlein is the only sensible member there. If some idiot like rridgely, TwistedMetal, or the so called developer MrG try to help you then expect a broken computer. My friend used this software at a tech shop, until it broke a computer and he had to spend 30 minutes more to fix everything CCleaner broke. The program also has bundled Yahoo Toolbar to try and make extra money which leads you to see where this program has been going. Boycott it soon because something better will appear very soon.
I have a pretty good idea of who it is too. I'm not going to get into that though because its not worth my time. Just for observations though... the person has 1 post, a bogus username, and mentioned a few of us by name. I find it pretty ammusing.
Oh and he has a "friend" that works at a "tech shop".
I don't feel that I have to prove anything. I've done my best to maintain a level of courtesy and helpfulness with everyone I've come into contact with. I do my best to help people and 90% of the time things work out in the end. If someone has an issue with me or the things I say/do then please let me know.
Don't make a random username on another forum and try to insult me. Its just childish.
I agree rridgely. Sounds like someone who has an axe to grind and is simply spouting sour grapes. You and twistedmetal do a great job of moderating this forum, and Mr.G provides us all with a great FREE product.
Every product has some sort of problem. just by reading that thread, shows that it is probably written by someone that is planning on providing another competing product.
Their product would get more credibility if it stood on its own merit rather than having to have another competing product denigrated.
There is nothing we can do about what others say on other forums. There are bigger more important things in this world and I hope no one looses any sleep about what people think about them.
Mudd I appreciate your help and maybe we can try to change the views of some of those people. I'm sure if they would try ccleaner again and actually think about what their doing while using it that would be enough.
