Application seems to be crashing or have a bug. Can’t use the uninstall apps tool. Nothing happens when I try to uninstall applications, and they’re still installed. Now I can’t uninstall CCleaner itself - when I try using the uninstall tool I get a “Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again.” message. Then when I try to delete the application from the folder, I get a message that the application is open even after checking force quit menu and confirming it is not running. I feel pretty stuck and can’t find a way to get a support ticket or any customer support help. Using a 2020 M1 Macbook Air on Sequoia 15.3.1 (24D70). Latest version of CCleaner as of 5/16/25.

I’m not that familiar with MacOS but I’d suggest a reboot which should close the running CCleaner, and then you should be able to delete/uninstall it.

I experience the same. Even “killing” the process does not shut down CCleaner.
