Alright, so my MKV file which i found in Recuva, i try to recover it, it says it worked, but i cant find the file, i put it as on my desktop, but its not going there, and then when i try to redo it, it says do you want to replace the file, but i cant find the file!
Double-check what you had set as the destination path for the recovery.
As the second try is asking if you want to overwrite it then it's obviously already there, wherever you have specified as 'there'.
Have you used the search in File Explorer for the recovered files name?
Alternatively (and usually faster than FE) open the Start menu and just start typing the filename, that should quickly find it.
eg. I opened the Start menu and started typing "boiler", I got as far as 'boil' and that was enough to find 5 files and one folder starting with that.
(I've blanked the location here, but it does show where the file is)
