Can't login via Password. Can't change password. Can't ask for password reset

I’ve noticed there has been a platform change, but:

  1. My password no longer works. I am sure it is right because it’s stored in a password manager.
  2. I can login via “Email me a login link”.
  3. I can’t change the password, because the old password doesn’t work.
  4. I can’t request for a password reset link, because I think there is an IP restriction for my location.

In essence, I can use the forum via the Email link now, but I can’t use any new security options related to the new platform because my password doesn’t work.

Is there a way I can get the password reset link to work?

ps: The admins may want to rethink how they import the old passwords into the new platform.

OK. Now the “Send password reset email” works. Whatever magic you do or didn’t do. This is fixed for me!

Yes, the hosting platform was changed about 6 months ago, which required everybody to re-register on the new platform.

It does mean that everyone reregistering is a ‘new user’ again and so has to interact with the forum for a while again before being allowed to post images and links, etc.
