Can't Install Latest Update

can't install latest update.

does any one know what this error message means: 'can't write c:\program files\CCleaner\CCleaner.execute

Are you installing top of the existing version? If so, try clean install. You can also check if CCleaner.exe is in "read-only" mode (right click CCleaner.exe and choose Properties).

I did a clean install, removing my last version with the add/remove program, and then i manually deleted whatever files were left. that worked. consequently, i was able to install the newest version.
