Can't end CCleaner service thru task manager, it comes right back

I had my CCleaner set NOT to automatically update, but it did it anyway to v7, and threw up a yellow box across the bottom of my screen that I could not close. I went into my task manager to try to end the service that implants itself there, and has no exit option, and it just kept automatically coming back. I cannot shut it down. I’m going to have to completely uninstall it and go back to 6.39, because I cannot stand for this. If I set it not to auto update and it does it again, I’ll stop using it altogether. This is bad, very, very bad. I don’t trust this program anymore.

Same here. I always ran ccleaner from the recycle bin menu and only when I needed it.
Now it installs itself as a service and there is no easy way to stop it.
I need to set the service to ‘manual’ and stop it. Then I need to kill the ccleaner process.
This is awkward. And running ccleaner needs the opposite actions.
Who the heck came up with this crappy obtrusive behavior?
