when i try to download ccleaner (ccleaner-slim) from the ccleaner-builds webpage i get an error:
“Secure Connection Failed”
“An error occurred during a connection to bits.avcdn.net. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR”
“Error code: PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR”
"The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem."
My default browser is Vivaldi and I have just downloaded the slim build without any problems.
Which browser did you use?
Does it happen on all browsers for you?
I was able to download the 6.34 Slim version using Windows 10 and Firefox with no problem.
the problem was caused by the “adguard” ad-blocker program which i recently started using.
for some reason “adguard” has the “bits.avcdn.net” URL, which is used for downloading the “ccleaner” program, blocked 3 ways to sunday. i managed to unblock it, at least for now. (the rules might be reactivated when they are updated)
Around 6-months ago avcdn.net distribution network got mistakenly included on “Easylist” which is a list that the whole adblocking uses as a reference.

It was quickly removed from the list but some blockers had already picked it up and added it into their own blocklists.
Some have been slow to remove it again, (although some block it anyway just because it’s owned/run by Avast and they don’t like Avast).
