Can't access drive, but Recuva shows files? Screenshots

Hello :-)

My father in law accidentally changed the mode of his RAID 1 usb case. But nothing was formatted or overwritten.

Sadly the drive doesn't show up properly under Windows 10 anymore. In the disk manager it's a empty raw partition. Both when using a single drive in the raid case or another usb case.

Recuva is the only program that lists all files. But only if I select that it should scan for non-deleted files. But ignores some?

IS there a way to restore it without having to copy everything to another drive?

in another program the partition is there, with space occupied, but it's unable to restore it. I've tried rebuilding the mbr and assigning a different drive letter.aomeihdd.thumb.png.dadf773ce2fa3b355599fd6647cc88c5.png

When it happened before (should've glued the case's dip switch) I could simply use testdisk, but it now only shows a partition with some folders. While photorec does find files.testdisk2.png.eba719a479bd5a614f4cdf17beb4cf6e.png

Any way to restore the drive without having to copy everything to a new one?

Thank you so much for any advice and ideas!
