Cannot import cc_xxx_xxx.reg

Hi,

I'm new to the forum, been using CC for a long time and never neded to use backups before.

I have XP Pro SP3 and run CC Cleaner v.2.26.1050.

I also use Zone Alarm Program Control extensively so I include this background info as I know a wrong setting there can cause havoc.

Since cleaning the registry, windows explorer.exe and Q-Dir which I run parralel to it crash frequently.

I do make backups but never had to use them until today when I tried and got this message:

"Registry Editor:

Cannot import [path:.....\cc_20100116_213029.reg. Not all data was successfully written to the registry. Some keys are open by the system or other process."

I downloaded and ran the 3rd party xp_regfile.zip and that was OK but when I retried to install my backup, I got the same message.

Do I need to do a reboot?

Try merging it in Safe Mode.
