Cannot activate second computer. Cannot download and they want be to buy a second program

I just downloaded cc cleaner professional and it works great on the first computer. On the second computer, it will not accept my passkey, and wants me to buy another program when the original one I purchased was supposedly good for 3 total. I only have 2.`Your website and instructions on how to do this are nonexistent and are confusing at best. I do not want buy the second program as it was promised to be included in the original. Please advise

So you have purchased a CCleaner Pro Plus licence for 3-devices.

To install/register CCleaner Pro on any PC try doing it this way:

  • Download an Installer from here and double-click the downloaded file to install CCleaner Free on the PC: CCleaner - Download Builds
  • Open the newly installed CCleaner Free and go to Options>Licence Key.
  • Insert your registered name and key to register/activate CCleaner as ‘Pro’.
    (Note that it has to be the name that you registered when purchasing, you can’t use a different name).

I have followed your instructions. It will not recognize my key on the second computer. It did fine on the first one. It gave me a free trial, but no confirmation for my already paid for two. I feel cheated. Is there no live person at this facility for me to talk to? Not a happy camper at this point, please help!

OK, you are now saying there that you have a Free TRIAL of CCleaner Professional.
Are you telling us that you don’t actually have a CCleaner Professional Plus (or CCleaner Premium) multi-device licence?

If you have purchased something then what was it that you purchased, and where from?

A Trial is for 1-PC, if you are just trying something out you don’t need more than one.

If you want a licence for multiple devices then you need to purchase a CCleaner Pro Plus licence (3-devices) or a CCleaner Premium licence (5-devices).

1, but it will not install on computer number 2. I don’t know how I could be cleared for more than that. Right now, I’m paying $49 for something I did not get. Suggestions to get the key have not worked. If I could get a refund minus the cost of the one that worked I would be happy. (Ihave downloaded many many programs but never had this problem and I did, I could easily talk to a live person for a fix. Can’t do that with CC Cleaner apparently

You can install CCleaner Free on any PC by downloading an installer from here and double-clicking the downloaded installer:

If you then want to activate it as Pro you need to have licence key.
If you want to use the same key on more than one PC then it has to be a Multi-Device licence/key.

From what you have said so far you do not have a multi-device licence/key.
From the price that you say that you paid ($49) it appears you have purcahased a CCleaner Professional licence which is valid for 1-PC only,

If you want to use that same key on more than one device then you will need to contact support and get your single PC licence upgrade to a Professional Plus or a Premium licence. There will be a cost for an upgrade.

They sent me a license key that did not work. Current tatus …I have paid for two computers ond only have one Impossible to find a live human to help me out. Are they still in business?. Any suggestions to an alternate to cc cleaner?

From what you have told us you have got exactly what you have paid for - a CCleaner Professional licence for ONE PC.

The current price for a 3-device ‘Pro Plus’ licence would be around $75.
The $49 that you say you paid is around the current cost of a 1-PC licence.

If you have bought the wrong thing then you can contact support and pay the extra to upgrade it to a 3-device ‘Pro Plus’ licence…

order 248990668 at the top of this order it says it is for 3 PCS

We don’t have access to user accounts, orders, or billing here.

However as you seem certain that you have a multi-device licence, and you are sure that you are entering the key correctly, then there is one other possibility I can think of.

It isn’t just the key that is registered, the username is too.
So you have to use the same username when registering, even on a different device.
We do sometimes see people trying to use a different name on each device, but it always needs the be the name that was registered.

Failing that then I’m affraid that only support can investigate and help you, so raise a ticket if you haven’t already and have patience while waiting for a support person to reply.
