Can Recuva Detect & Restore DELETED Norton Ghost 10 Image Backups ? ? ?

Hello everyone,

I did something SO STUPID that I even can't believe it :-(~

I'd accidentally deleted my Norton Ghost 10 Backup Image folder from my external USB HDD.

Does anyone here know if Recuva can locate and possibly restore the following:

NORTON GHOST FILE EXTENSIONS

.v2i = volume (partition) image file.

.iv2i = incremental volume (partition) image file.

.sv2i = system index file. It tells Ghost how the volumes (partitions) are laid out on the disk.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Mike

If you have system restore turned on for that drive, & had it turned on before you deleted it, you might be able to run system restore & restore back to when you had those files on it.

Be sure you backup everything before you begin.

I am not 100% certain this will recover it, because it is dependent on so many variables, but it is worth a try.

Just so all the info is available which may alter advice on how to use recuva for this, here is the ongoing thread at the Ghost forum
