Will it hurt my hard drive if I run ccleaner every day?
No, it won't really hurt your hard drive, but this kind of writing every day will cause more wear and tear. Hard drives have moving parts, and the more they move, the more they wear. Plus, the media itself has a finite amount of writing that it can take before it starts to wear. It may take years, but you can actually wear your hard drive out.
There really isn't a reason for wiping your drive every day unless you're working with something that you want to keep from the prying eyes of someone doing a forensic exam of your drive. If you've erased it, it's very difficult for anyone to recover it unless they have the drive in their posession.
Hope this helps!
