After scanning for the files, let's say there are 100 files found, and I want to recover 20 files first, then after it has been done then continue with another 20 files and so on until all the 100 files are all recovered. (the figures are just an example, not the exact amount of the number of my files) Is that possible to be done? Because recovering all files at the same time, it shows more than 2 days are needed and I can't leave my laptop on all the time as it will cause overheating.
I hope someone can answer me as soon as possible. Thank you very much.
Of course. You can recover files one at a time, or in a block, or a random selection.
Two days is a mighty long time to copy blocks of data (which is what Recuva is doing), how much in gb are you recovering?
Are you proposing to shut down your laptop between recoveries? If so you will have to scan again. If you don't shut down the lt, then you don't have to rescan.
Thanks for your reply. I need more replies now. haha.
Um, I'm not sure how much but I can remember it got stuck at 16% recovering one particular file which its Filename is $TxfLog(something something) and the time just keep on increasing until it's 2 days then I decided to end it and start all over again, because I can't see the progression but the time keep on increasing.
From what you have said, does it mean after I recovered some files, I can still see the files that have been scanned previously? (Assume that I didn't plug my hard disk out or turn off my computer.)
Meaning by shutting down my computer between recoveries I have to rescan everything each time?
What about hibernating it?
What about putting it on sleep mode?
What about plugging out my hard disk?
(Do I need to rescan in each of these cases?)
Another question I have, if the icon is green with a white hole/dot, what does it mean?
