Bookmarks- Do not delete

I am concerned with running CC & my bookmarks being removed/deleted.

I have had it happen in the past w/CC & want to make sure it will not happen again, especially with Edge. Edge doesn't have the best bookmarking capabilities & I've had to spend too much time organizing.

My system to be cleaned is a MS Surface Pro 3 running Windows 10 with Chrome, Edge, & Firefox installed.

Is there a box I should uncheck that incorporates bookmarks?

There is mention of unchecking "Compact Databases" but am not seeing this anywhere.

I have found postings but nothing current, most from 2003-2011.

Many queries have suggestions/answers that deny or say you need to close the browser while running the program.

This topic denies CC ever deleting bookmarks:

CC shouldn't touch bookmarks/favourites, but it has been reported by a few that is has in the past.

Too many CC releases and Chrome, Firefox and Edge versions have come and gone for your links to still be relevant.

I think the best way to move forward, as with any system maintenance, is to have backups.

All the browsers you mention have a backup/export feature.

That way if CC does go stupid, you're covered.
