Up to now this discount offer has been- A summer Sale, A xx billion download party, A gift for you, and now a Black Friday sale.
No doubt it will be a Christmas Present next. (Then New Year sale, spring discount, Easter gift, etc).
Why not just cut the standard price and stop bugging people with pop-ups?

Psychology and good business sense to present it as a discounted price

You really have to be kidding me?
You consider this to be a good business move, by hassling users with a spammy pop-up, every time the program is run?
Piriform will wind up losing customers with this practice. This is worse than spam, since it is directly on my desktop.
Program will be uninstalled and will never use any Piriform products again, after this.
Your email address, will also be blocked, to avoid further nags.

I don't agree with it, but most people are indeed fooled by the advertisement. piriform wants new less computer savy users to use ccleaner, and has decided that those users might want pro (why idk, none of the features speak to low-knowledge users).
In the popup click on the little paper pin symbol next to the x
That should unpin it and stop it appearing again.
This is why I have used c cleaner free for 8 years and won't pay for it. Cheesy business marketing/management. True.

Sorry to say this does not work
