The ANZ Bank app (Australia) is being blocked by CCleaner Pro. This has only been an issue for the past week or so. I’ve had to uninstall CCleaner as a result. Anyone else had a similar issue? Any suggestions, please?
CCleaner is not a blocker, or a firewall, or an antivirus, - it’s a junk/temporary file cleaner with a few other tools thrown in.
Is it just a question of being logged out of the banking app?
(Most banks do that automatically anyway).

The ANZ app uses advanced security features to keep your information safe.
Recently, it has started identifying CCleaner as an app that could interfere with its secure environment. Since CCleaner performs system optimisation tasks, the ANZ app may restrict access when it detects it running.
To ensure smooth access to your ANZ app, the easiest approach is to temporarily disable or uninstall CCleaner.
Once CCleaner is removed or turned off, the ANZ app should work as expected. If you prefer to keep CCleaner, you may need to decide which app to prioritise, as they currently don’t work together.
I’d welcome your comments.
So it’s the banking app itself that is blocking your access, and not CCleaner.
It’s entirely the (recent) choice of your bank to do that.
CCleaner accesses data, if it couldn’t access data then it couldn’t clean it.
So it’s a question of trust, the bank don’t know just what CCleaner is accessing, and are probably worried that CCleaner may be accessing your transaction data when you use the banking app.
Stopping you accessing the banking app if you have CCleaner running seems a bit of overkill as a measure to take, but it’s your banks choice what they do with their own app.
However “.. they currently don’t work together ..” is a somewhat misleading statement when the reason for that is entirely their choice.
“We don’t want you running them together” would be a truer statement.
PS, I wonder if they are doing the same with other cleaning apps?
