Here is the page with the security apps listed, the anti virus ones which you are interested in are listed first, minus AVG of course!!
Ok everyone I just wanted to update everyone. I shutoff AVG & NO freeze. But now I kinda feel nakid, hehe evidently My puter dont like it, any suggestions on what to replace it with that wont be as bad or worse . Thanks again, Cowboy
Well at least you figured it out, that's important!
As for your next antivirus look at the page Hazelnut linked to.
Avast Antivirus Home Edition (freeware) is pretty light on a system with good detection rates if you leave its scanning mode set at Standard, if you move it to Thorough it will have a few false positives. Also the new update of AOL Active Virus Shield (freeware) which is rebranded Kaspersky Antivirus with some AOL images is rather nice for a freeware AV, and it now has a resident shield. The only drawback to the AOL antivirus is you agree to receive periodic advertisements from AOL and their selected partners in your e-mail.
Ok , thanks again. I uninstalled AVG, & installed Avast, & all seems fine. I just wanted to mention , I dont think theres anything wrong with AVG 7.5, it just appears to have a confict with My ISP, ( netzero ), As it,s even working properly now. So No disconnects & no freezes. ( crossing fingers ) Thankyou for Your help. Cowboy
Netzero.
Not to turn attention away from Cowboy's problem (or previous problem, I suppose), but I just wanted to say that I'm impressed. AVG actually looks... dare I say... attractive! I've been using Avast!, and will probably continue to use it, but I may try out the new AVG on a test computer. Thanks for the post and screenshot, Andavari.

Yeah however from my testing on my PC Avast allows the system to run a tidbit smoother than AVG Free. Both are good in my opinion however as always it matters how well a system will accept a particular anti-virus without problems.
