The only thing you can do explicitly to any non-system disk is wipe free space with Drive Wiper. You can include folders and files on non-system disks by adding them to the Include list, have a look at the documentation to see how it's done.

hello azarober,

here the link to "including files and folders"

https://www.ccleaner.com/docs/ccleaner/using-ccleaner/including-files-and-folders-for-cleaning

and this:

https://support.piriform.com/hc/en-us/articles/204043784-Why-are-my-Custom-Files-and-Folders-not-being-cleaned-

in your direction for example:

ccleaner -> cleaner -> under "advanced" -> check "custom files and folders"

next step:

ccleaner -> options -> include -> click on "add" on the right side of ccleaner-window

there pop up an window "include"

next step: location

choose "drive or folder"

click on "browse" or give it manually into the white field -> in your way for example "f:\backup" -> click "OK"

next step: kind of files to delete

choose under "file types" what kind of files do you want do delete.... -> for example choose "all files" for all kind of files

or choose "file types" and explain ccleaner what kind of files do you want to delete - for example: "*.temp" -only for all files with the files-end "TEMP"

next step: -> additional options

choose what do you want additionally to delete...

there are 3 things additional to delete

1.) include files only

2.) include files and subfolders

3.) include files, subfolders and the folder itself

and choose if you want the option "only delete files or folders older than ..."

and give ccleaner the hours how old the files/folder are can be - in the example 24 hours

click "ok"

There is no button, you must click the checkbox to enable cleaning of custom files and folders:

Then you can add your files and folders here:

That's right. You can't delete an entire drive, only files and folders. You can only use "F:\" if you change "File Types" from "All Files" to "File Types:" and specify the files you want to delete.

@azarober If you are trying to delete an entire drive, please use the 'Drive Wiper' function found in the Tools section

BUT!!! I am NOT trying to delete the drive, BUT to CLEAN IT as I do with the system drives C: and D: !!! That's means what I asked in my first post: TO APPLY CCleaner on my external disks TO CLEAN and ANALIZE them !

Because your F drive doesn't have an operating system on it, I'm afraid you cannot clean it like you clean your C drive.

On your C drive there is a structure which CCleaner can see

C\Windows

C\Program files

C\Temp

etc., etc.,

These don't exist on your F drive do they? It's just files and folders which you put on there yourself?
