Applications updater seems to do nothing.
Clicking on “Resolve” simply turns it gray, and there’s no indication of any progress done, no error or message window, seems like the whole process is futile, and I only need, or can do, “skip for now”.
I have Windows 10 22H2
Unfortunately, even if the option to upload media exists in this forum framework, I get an error when trying to upload an image of what I see.
As you are seeing ‘Skip for Now’ then that tells me that you are using CCleaner Free.
CCleaner Free can only tell you about Software Updates so that you can go and update them yourself.
CCleaner Free does not do the updates for you.
In CCleaner Free Health Check should show you a screen giving you the option to ‘Skip for now’ or to ‘Upgrade to resolve’.
If/when you click on ‘Upgrade to resolve’. you should get a screen like this with Yellow and White ‘Upgrade’ buttons for if you want to purchase CCleaner Pro or Pro Plus:
Or if you are not online you get a message telling you that:
Are you saying that you are not seeing that screen with the yellow/white buttons?
If so then it sounds similar to another current issue with a grey screen that briefly flashes on and then off again.
As far as we know that issue only affects CCleaner Free, and only Custom Clean.
So it will be interesting if you are seeing something similar in Health Check.
I’ve overridden the forum settings so you should be able to post your screenshot now, it would be interesting to see it if it is different from what I have posted above.
Do you know what Graphics Processing your Windows 10 is using?
(NVIDIA, Intel UHD, something else?).
Hi, thank you for the quick reply.
No, no, I see [Resolve], as I said before, not upgrade.
Next to the [Resolve] button there is always [Skip for Now], you can always skip.
I have CCleaner Professional Edition v6.34.11482(64-bit).
My graphics processor is Intel HD graphics 520.
The issue is depicted in the following image:
I want to emphasize, that the [Resolve] button was indeed clickable and blue, until I clicked on it and it became gray, but no action seems to be taking place, even after a long time.
Thanks for clarifying that, and sorry for the misunderstanding.
As it’s just that button then it looks to me that it is working, you click on it, it greys, and CCleaner goes to work updating stuff.
However it’s not working as it should for some reason.
From what you report then it is either just taking a long time to do the updates, or it has got stuck on updating something.
It isn’t smart enough to sort out what went wrong so you have to do it, usually updating the apps manually yourself will do the trick.
(Or at least it may show up what the problem may have been, it’s often just that the updater wants a mouse click that CCleaner can’t give it).
I would suggest that if you are going to use CCleaner to update software then rather than doing everything it has found in one go do them one at once.
Untick all but one, update that one, rescan with Health Check, do the next, rescan, and so on.
That way if there is some issue with one of them you know which one it is.
Personally I go further and just treat what CCleaner says as a ‘heads up’ that there is an update available.
I will then close CCleaner and update the ones I want to from within the app itself, of from the apps own website.
(PS. You appear to have two ‘Zooms’ there at different versions - are both wanted?)
