Analysis Failed/Building File List Failed

Defragler v2.10.424 (64-bit)

OS: Win 7 Ultimate

HD configuration:

1 internal 65G SSD

1 internal 1.5T SATA

1 external 500G IDE

2 external 200G IDE

1 external 1.5T SATA

The internal 1.5T, external 500G and both external 200G drives defrag OK (mostly).

The external 1.5T cannot be accessed by Defragler. Clicking "Analyze" gives "Analysis Failed," and "Defrag" (any choice) gives "Building File List Failed."

"Check Drive For Errors" gives a no errors detected report. Windows Defrag will analyze and defrag the HD (I don't like the way Windows Defrag works in Win 7).

What generates these failed messages, and how do I get past them to use Defragler on this drive?

Do you have a great number of files on the drive that is failing?

i am having the same issue. just installed an external 3tb disk and when i try to use defragler v2.10.424 i get the analysis failed message. defragler works fine on my two internal disks (one 2tb and one 3tb). the external disk only has a few files on it. my operating system is win 7 home premium x64.
