I'd have to agree with this little snippet from that article:
the AMD brand name is stronger and better recognized than its ATI counterpart.
Now if only they could fix their drivers installation which was a problem long before they bought ATI so they'd actually install on some systems without leaving them completely crippled with no way to install any version of the display drivers other than the dreaded format.
