The CCleaner GUI only allows me to browse to the target file/folder
That is useless when I cannot browse to the destination.
To stipulate %APPDATA% in the path is easy with the keyboard - but the GUI does not allow the keyboard.
Instead I have to browse to the specific target as it exists in my specific profile,
and close CCleaner and then use Notepad to edit CCleaner.ini and tweak the target in my specific profile to the %APPDATA% form usable for all profiles.
Some people have to first precede this by checking the option Save Settings to INI.
Thank you Piriform that you do not make us juggle with a live Cat and Canary whilst doing this ! !
I would + this one, except I just want it fixed.
It is much easier to drag + drop on XP, & everytime I want to "upgrade" to windows 7, there are always a few things I remember:
-> No animated gif support in default 7 viewer (must use 3rd party)
-> No support for picture smoothing (pictures pixelate when enlarged, whilst XP smooths them)
-> Bass/treble controls for audio are dropped
-> CCleaner includes is very wonky & doesn't work with drag & drop
To tell you the truth, without includes working on 7, it kinda feels broke! I mean, I know you may can do a manual .ini edit, but that's a lot of work if you have more than 3 folders. It's a lot of work if you have 3 folders, period! LOL!
I don't know if they need to fix CCleaner to auto-detect the path of a .LNK file/folder & insert that into the text file...
I am not certain what method they use at the moment. But something could be changed, I feel sure.
Installers have a text listing of all the files they need to uninstall, so why can CCleaner get it's includes working like or similar to an "uninstaller" that simply removes what you add?
