All Audio is Lost After Updating Drivers

The title explains it all, really.

I was playing a game (Lethal Company, public beta Version 55) and since it was crashing, I decided to update my drivers using the CCleaner Driver Updater. After that was all said and done, I restarted my computer, only to find that my audio had completely disappeared. I have tried many methods, looked up countless solutions, and none have worked. I will still follow the solutions I have already done in case of any mistakes.

This seems to have also messed up my Windows search bar, as I cannot open any location in System Settings other than the Settings home page if I try to open it up through the search bar. Other Windows features such as updating through System Settings and screenshot tools have been broken as well.

Any help is appreciated.

Have you tried the "Fix a problem" button to see if you can roll-back the changed drivers?

Thank you, but reverting the drivers does not seem to fix the problem.

The issue resolved itself after I reset my pc using the Recovery settings in System Settings.

Good to hear that you fixed it.

I'm sure that you will be wary of using the Driver Updater again

Any automatic driver updater can sometimes give you a 'wrong' driver, one that may be a newer version of the one you have installed but a newer version which isn't meant for and doesn't suit your particular machines setup.
