hi there after installing CCleaner and used it 5 xs my adware 2007 wouldn`t update ,i reloaded the CCleaner registry backups restarted the pc no joy . so i tried uninstalling adware but it wouldn`t it just said error 1722 can anybody help thanks.

There is no reason really why CCleaner should interefere with Ad-aware.
There is info about using CCleaner here, I would avoid using the issues part of the cleaner until you are used to the program

Following on from Hazels first link, you could try using Dial-a-fix to see if Windows Installer is the problem.
Check the boxes as per the screenshot, and press go. If you haven't used it before, it's a very safe program, and would be recommended by a lot of people on here.

Edit: 00:15. I've only just got Hazels second link working, so you may have already fixed Windows Installer. Still might be worth a try, as Dial-a-fix is a slick piece of software.
hi there hazelnut ,alls fine now nothing seemed to work untill we set the microsoft removal tool on it and that removed ad aware, then we reloaded java but it still didn`t seem right so we reloaded windows xp disk ran all the updates and bobs yer uncle it seems fine now ,i`ll have to do a bit of homewok on CCleaner before re installing,anyway thanks for replying so soon yesterday it was nice to be greeted like that,i`m sure we`ll be chatting again soon,i am that accident prone .
