Add an ignore switch on Software Updates

There are updates that in some cases will never be installed, old caused by a registry entry that is out dated or not comfortable apply the updates . Provide a way to ignore in the future so they don’t continue to be displayed and included in the banner count. Have an ignored tab that includes the items that have been selected for this category.

Good point. It would help to have an “Ignore” option and a tab for ignored updates. That way, updates that can’t be applied don’t keep showing up or affecting the banner count. Hope this can be added in a future update.

It has been requested (quite strongly) to the CCleaner Staff that they add 'Pause 'and ‘Skip’ options similar to the ones in the Driver Updater:

but we are still waiting for it to happen for Software Updater.

Such an option would be nice at times. One other thing that would help with the Software Updater would be if CCleaner only looked at the updates that are publicly available instead of in the developer’s channels. That way , updates would be listed that the user could actually get instead of having to wait for several days or more.

Build v6.36.11508 has just been released with changes listed to the software updater

n CCleaner v6.36, we’ve improved Software Updater and fixed a minor bug that was preventing some users from updating Windows Defender
