Many of you will remember this once 'must have ' app.
If this article's facts are right looks like it may be end game, at the very least I'd never recommend it to anyone.

I cant remember the last time I used Ad-Aware.
I never used it, but I've heard others rave about it
It was on the Laptop when my daughter passed it on to me.
It never found anything worse than tracking cookies.
Then they updated but I found this forced zombie services that I could kill,
and a few minutes later they would resurrect and steal CPU cycles again.
I reverted to the previous version but after a while they discontinued the data-base updates for what had never found anything bad,
so I decided my 30 GB HDD was to precious to waste on bloated junk and I zapped it.
Never regretted that decision.
I used it many years ago (when it was still good and free) and would never recommend it now. Well, I would recommend avoiding it.
SpyBot & MBAM are much better. I do recommend SUPERAntiSpyware sometimes, but I remember it leaving some "components" after uninstalling it, so haven't tested it on my own PC in a while.
I haven't used Adaware in about a decade.
The last free version of AdAware I used was a nightmare. Took too much CPU time and slowed all other programs down in the say first 5 minutes after a start up.
