I’ve been using Ccleaner for a long time. Today’s just deleted all of my photos and videos (over 5 GB of data!). How to recover it? It has to be a way.
I have no backup, been trying to recover it using pc software and it recovers only those that I’ve deleted myself.
Any ideas?

As you’ve found some others with this issue already, you know your not alone.
That said everytime it’s come up I’ve tried to recreate this. On a normal quick clean I’ve never found it touching my pictures.
so i delved deeper, here things branch.
on one hand you can add thumbnails to quick clean,and when i clicked it the choose of folders was given. i didn’t carry through but this doesn’t delete pictures only the small index and picture’s thumbnails. In this case the actual images are still there the photo app you uses just needs to rebuild (they should be accessible when you link your pc and phone and explore the drive in windows)
on the other hand there’s in CCleaner the option to delete photos that might fall into categories such as bad quality or old. in those categories you have to manually select and delete. there’s another part of CCleaner where you can see all pictures manual select them and (among many options) delete them.
please tell me what I’m missing.

if you need to post images use a photo sharing site and link, as this forum software thinks the new can’t post pictures.

Well, just yesterday morning, the option for free up space came up, so I’ve picked it without looking. But I’m just surprised how it’s even possible to wipe out all of my photos and videos (all kept on internal storage). I didn’t choose it. It was just a quick wipe and over 5 GB is gone permanently. I mean… how come? The files are not in the bin file. I’ve been searching for any app that could recover the data but didn’t work. Some of them recovered all the photos that I’ve deleted myself long time ago.
Is there any chance to find a solution?
And all I’ve done was quick clean where I have ticked visible caches and thumbnails. Nothing more… How is it possible that all the photos and videos are gone?
