2gb Drive Size Mismatch

I was using the Recuva application to recover a 2gb drive I accidentally formatted (E:) and am having some problems. Not a system drive so I pulled it immediately and took it to another machine, no further writes.

I cleared off a separate 2gb drive and formatted it to open it up (F:, obviously not a system drive either). I ran Recuva and the search completed successfully in about 8 hours, lots of files but many missing directory info, which is not the end of the world.

When I went to point recovery of E: to F: it objected to the fact that F: was ever so slightly smaller, due to system information or whatever. The available space was 1.863gb, less than required for the full 1.880gb I de-selected some files to get it below the size difference but it still wants 1.880gb, which does not seem to be possible without having a larger drive.

How do I get around this?
