I have no doubt that CCleaner is a excellant program and strives for perfection.

I'am not sure why it does not clean PERFECTDISK 8 Logs.I know it does not because

after PD is finished I run CC AND don't see the log files I then open PD'S logs and

deleat them.Perhaps the next version will fix the problem.

Do you know where the files are stored? The full path name? Example: C:\Program Files\Perfect Disk 8\logs (something like that). Also, do you know the name of the files?

Please show where on your computer the perfect disc logs are kept.

Until you say where, Twisted Metal cannot do anything about cleaning them. When you have the logs on your screen, look at the address bar and it will show the information that is needed.

As Twisted said it should show something like this -

C\Programs files\Perfect Disc 8

Copy it exactly. :)

Maybe i can answer this question, cause i own Perfect Disk 8 too.

The folder where is installed is C:\Programmi (Program Files for english people)\Raxco\Perfect Disk

Is very hard (for me :huh: ) find where this application save its logs, cause is has also the option

to save them in Windows Events. I'll investigate about this, give me some hours... :rolleyes:

Found !

PD logs are saved in

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Dati applicazioni\Raxco\PerfectDisk\8.0

There are 2 files in here, "PDBootLog.log" and "PDBootLog" (without extension).

In my (very humble) opinion, this issue is due to different Windows localization

For me, in Italy, "Program Files" is "Programmi" and "Application Data"

is "Dati Applicazioni", so CCleaner maybe can't find that folder because,

according his winapp.ini file, by default it search for it in:

"FileKey1=%allusersprofile%\Application Data\Raxco\PerfectDisk\8.0|PerfectDisk.log

--------------------

trying to delete a file named "PerfectDisk.log" that doesn't exist,

the correct names of the log files are "PDBootLog.log" and "PDBootLog"

I have tweaked my winapp.ini as follow:

[PerfectDisk 8.0]

LangSecRef=3024

Detect=HKCU\Software\Raxco\PerfectDisk\8.0

Default=True

FileKey1=%allusersprofile%\Dati Applicazioni\Raxco\PerfectDisk\8.0|PDBootLog.log

--------------------- --------------

an now it seems to work fine

Hope this helps :rolleyes:

I trust CCleaner will correct this problem in the next version.

I was only pointing out that it did not clean out the logs.

I'am not knowledgable enough to know if your ''fix'' was done

before or after the PERFECT DISK 8 update.Having said the

above CCleaner is still the best cleaner out their.
