Hi Guys. Searching thru my filesystem, I found some files in the Media Player Art Cache that look like that they need deleting.

The path on my pc:

C:\Documents and Settings\Home\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player\Art Cache\LocalMLS

Files in this folder look like they may have a CLSID format. eg:

{0D466CD5-71CE-4AA1-865F-C4ED3128AB70}.jpg

Also this folder looks like it needs checking - (no files found here thou):

C:\Documents and Settings\Home\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player\Transcoded Files Cache

I'm thinking the Transcoded Files Cache is when WMP is transferring to a DAP that doesn't handle something for instance like WMA Lossless. You're right it does need to be dealt with and cleaned!

What about the art cache, that can be safely cleaned can't it? (seems to just be thumbnails of videos that have been played)

I recently found this folder, it was not smaller than 700mb.

this one seems to fill itself automatically, I don't even use the media player,

and the covers were just 4 different ones over and over

As this is a huge amount of small files ccleaner should wipe those too!

hoping to see the feature soon!
