Moderators Andavari Posted October 12, 2006 Moderators Share Posted October 12, 2006 Wont there ever be any SP3? If you look at some of the guts of the updates currently offered after SP2 you'll see that they have references to SP3. Therefore I would expect and hope MS to at least offer one more service pack (or should it be renamed to security pack) before dropping support for WinXP. Eldmannen
Yeah, I looked into it, and it seems it will released after Vista.
Admiral Ross
Windows XP SP1 and SP1a support ends on October 10, 2006.This is an indication that XP is running into it's "End of Lifecycle" M$ Operating systems run about 7 years. So, technically XP would no longer be support by 2010-11.
