JAGO
Has anyone heard about these? How do they affect performance? I was considering buying a 36Gb one with the 16MB cache, and then getting a ~300GB slave drive, just to see the difference in performance . Eldmannen
There are many disks with 16 mb cache, not only the Raptors. The Raptor disks are more expensive than other disks but are high-performance, these disks are suited as a system disk where your operating system is loaded and swap file. You could store movies on it too, but then its better buy another disk that is cheaper and larger disk space, if you buy a Raptor, use it as system disk. There are also reviews and comparisons of the Raptor disk on various hardware sites such as Tomshardware, Anandtech, etc.
