Moderators rridgely Posted September 22, 2006 Moderators Share Posted September 22, 2006 I got tired of the dark blue... Here is what I got right now: I was in a pink floyd kinda mood. Maybe thats why I found the tree fascinating...I'm looking for something else.

Mike Rochip
I was always looking for icons I liked and could never seem to find a set that included everything I needed. Then I began to think that icons in general distracted from the desktop image. I finally figured out how to get the clean look I wanted and ended up with no icons at all ! pamd
Mike, If you're using Windows, how did you get rid of the recycle bin icon? As you see in my screenshot a couple of posts up, I don't use icons either. But the recycle bin icon is hidden behind one of the Yahoo Widgets. I'm using Windows XP Pro, SP 2. Mike Rochip
TweakUI from Microsoft will let you remove the Recycle Bin. It's under the Desktop section. TweakUI lets you change a lot of other settings, too. TweakUI

Mike Rochip
Glad I could help ! It's nice not to have to have that ugly Recycle Bin icon on the desktop. I like your desktop. Nice and simple. Minimalism at its best.

pamd
Oh nooo here we go, totally off-topic, the age-old Mac vs. PC argument. I rather liked this thread as it was, talking about desktops.
JohnDemolition
a Mac is a desktop isn't it? so i don't see how this is off-topic . anyways, here's mine. i made a few notable changes to the dock. Clean: Dirty: those images that i posted are very highly compressed. i doubt that you can make smaller versions of them, but meh. also, does anyone know of any good Playing icons? the ones that i have are kinda boring...
