Positive feedback

First of all I’d like to provide positive feedback to you. Driver updater has become very useful and quite reliable.

I was using it to bring 3 older laptops up to date. 24 drivers in total successfully updated trouble-free by using driver updater.

Findings:

As long as you inspect the suggested updates first and update driver by driver (or only related drivers together) in order of release date, driver updater works very well and reliably.

There are still some doubtable update suggestions you better skip. Usually drivers with lower version numbers but (for whatever reason) newer release dates (see screenshot).

One driver in particular you might consider not to suggest anymore at all - “WD SES”. Since Windows 11 22H2 with enabled “core isolation memory” by default, the additional (optional and unnecessary) WD SES USB driver is blocked by windows (unwanted vulnerable driver). So it makes little sense to recommend to “upgrade” a driver which is not anymore installed in the system and which would be blocked by windows anyway (see screenshot).
