Joe737
Hi, I've been using ccleaner since it was beta and was called crapcleaner. It's a great utility. However, ccleaner 6.09.10300 added a new landing screen (see attachment). Question: How do we disable this landing screen and immediately land on the one that counts? Thanks for any assistance you can offer. Joe Edited February 14 by Joe737 Clarity
Moderators hazelnut Posted February 14 Moderators Share Posted February 14 Just installed this build from scratch on Win 10. I would suggest you have a look at the Settings in the panel on the left and make sure that Custom Clean is chosen and that you turn off EVERYTHING in Settingsthat you do not want. After a quick check I see that when I turn off automatic updates etc in Settings/Updates, and then I go to the Smart Screen option and turn it off I get this warning saying it will stop automatic updates. Silly me... I thought that is what the Update settings were for. Joe737
Hi Hazelnut - Thanks for the quick response. I already have the items I want cleaned marked in Custom Clean and the ones I do not want cleaned not marked. Also, I have never used automatic updates. Any other suggestions? Moderators hazelnut Posted February 14 Moderators Share Posted February 14 Well it might be a Win 11 thing then or the fact that I did a clean install. At install I got a similar screen to you but after I messed around turning everything off and opened CC again it had gone away. Joe737
Hazelnut I should have indicated that I am running Windows 10 Pro. I'll do a clean install of ccleaner later. Thanks for your input. Joe
