lmacri
My CCleaner Free Portable v6.07 uninstall tool at Tools | Uninstall seems to have incorrect Install Dates for several programs. For example, CCleaner correctly shows that Belarc Advisor Free v12.0.0 (rel. 11-Nov-2022) was updated from v11.5.0.1 to v12.0.0.0 on my machine on 14-Nov-2022, but: 7-Zip was updated from v22.00 to v22.01 (rel. 15-Jul-2022) on 16-Jul-2022, but the Install Date in CCleaner is 10-Nov-2022. Intel Driver & Support Assistant was updated from v22.7.44.6 to v22.8.50.7 (rel. 15-Dec-2022) on 17-Dec-2022, but the Install Date in CCleaner is 12-Jan-2023 (Note: the date of 12-Jan-2023 is the same date my Jan 2022 Patch Tuesday updates were installed by Windows Update on my Win 10 Pro v22H2 OS). When I go to Control Panel | Programs | Programs and Features the Installed On dates for my current Belarc Advisor Free v12.0.0 (14-Nov-2022), 7-Zip v22.01 (16-Jul-2022) and Intel Driver & Support Assistant v22.8.50.7 (17-Dec-2022) are all correct. I don't use CCleaner to uninstall programs and rarely go to Tools | Uninstall so I'm not sure if this glitch was present in earlier versions of CCleaner v6.x. However, I did find several topics for older versions of CCleaner where this same problem was reported - see jdranchman's 14-May-2012 Most Install Dates in Uninstall Tab Just Wrong for one example. Does anyone know where CCleaner finds the Install Dates for programs (e.g., a registry entry for the last run date or .dll/.exe file property)? -------------64-bit Win 10 Pro v22H2 build 19045.2486 * Firefox v109.0.0 * Microsoft Defender v4.18.2211.5-1.1.19900.2 * Malwarebytes Premium v4.5.20.230-1.0.1868 * Macrium Reflect Free v8.0.7279 * CCleaner Free Portable v6.07.10191 Dell Inspiron 15 5584, Intel i5-8265U CPU, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB Toshiba KBG40ZNS256G NVMe SSD, Intel UHD Graphics
Moderators Andavari Posted January 25, 2023 Moderators Share Posted January 25, 2023 At this point that's a very old bug going back many years and is in many versions of CCleaner.
