brainpup
Hey I understand I'm a little late upgrading to Windows 10, but Ccleaner cleaned everything in Windows 7, but in Windows 10 it skips the cleaning of Edge Chromium. Is there some Tip somebody can give me on to how to change a setting so it will work. Thanks

Moderators Nergal Posted June 29, 2022 Moderators Share Posted June 29, 2022 Sounds like something is running edge. Do you have any windows store apps (like facebook for instance which i know run edge because ccleaner cleans it when i close facebook). It also sounds like you told ccleaner not to show the warning that edge is open, this dialog allows you to close edge, if the warning is hidden ccleaner will skip the browser if it's deemed to be open. In edge make sure startup boost and run in the background are disabled as they will keep edge running too. ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
