David King
I ran Recuva on my laptop, it found the files I needed, but when I select "recover" the dialog box does not list any drives or directories to save the recovery file.
Moderators Nergal Posted June 28, 2022 Moderators Share Posted June 28, 2022 Do you have a second drive? You shouldn't be able to recover to the drive you recover from as data would become overwritten. If you have to get a cheap drive with the space you need recover there and (after testing the files, as recovery does not equate with working file) copy them back to the original drive ADVICE FOR USING CCleaner'S REGISTRY INTEGRITY SECTION DON'T JUST CLEAN EVERYTHING THAT'S CHECKED OFF. Do your Registry Cleaning in small bits (at the very least Check-mark by Check-mark) ALWAYS BACKUP THE ENTRY, YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU'LL BREAK IF YOU DON'T.
