CCleaner deletes one drive files from account

Hi I tried CCleaner today to clear the temp files from system, but after it was completed i rcvd a notification from one drive that my files have been bulk deleted, and i checked to confirm the same as well and indeed the original files from one drive were deleted as well, luckily we were able to recover the files from one drive recycle bin, can someone please explain why did this happen and it deleted even the files from the one drive folder, instead of just removing the downloaded files from the local machine.
