Mistress
Hi all! I am a new user to CCleaner. Nice little program! I would like to address 1 portion of CCleaner, the registry cleaning part. I would LOVE to see a registry cleaning program that will have a backup registry option BEFORE it runs. I've looked at a few programs, and I own 2, and NOT 1 that I looked at has the option of backing anything up before deletion. Just a suggestion **My Karma Ran Over My Dogma**
Woody
Hi Mistress, Welcome to the forum. CCleaner does offer you this option. Click "Issues" > scan for issues. If anything is found it will offer you the option to fix selected issues. If you click ok CCleaner will ask you if you would like to backup/ save your settings to "my documents" before it runs. Btw, the registry tool in CCleaner is not very aggressive. It very rarely causes any problems. Hope this helps. Woody. Hiya Woody, I just ran a registry scan and unchecked everything except for 2 entries, just to see what would happen, and it only showed what was slated to be deleted... I was talking about a regular, straight backup, a FULL registry backup! Not just backing up the files that are going to be deleted. **My Karma Ran Over My Dogma**
